Terms of Service

Last updated: July 30, 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and Handler Labs LLC ("we," "us"), the maker of Homeschoolio, for using the app. By downloading or using Homeschoolio, you agree to them. Please read them, along with our Privacy Policy.

Using Homeschoolio

Homeschoolio is a record-keeping tool for homeschooling families. You need to be at least 18 and the parent or guardian who keeps these records. You are responsible for the records you enter and for meeting your own state and district's requirements.

Where Homeschoolio is offered

Homeschoolio is built for families homeschooling in the United States and is sold on the US App Store. Its rules, deadlines, and documents cover the fifty states and the District of Columbia, and nothing in the app describes the requirements of any other country. If you use it from outside the United States, that is your own choice and you are responsible for the laws that apply where you are.

How these terms work with Apple's license

Your license to install and run the app comes from Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which you accept when you download it. These terms sit alongside that license and cover what it does not: what Homeschoolio is for, the disclaimers below, your subscription, and how we support you. If the two ever disagree about the license to the app itself, Apple's agreement controls, including its own governing-law terms. You can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

This is not legal advice

Homeschoolio helps you keep records and turn them into documents. It is not legal advice, and it is not an official or accredited authority. Homeschoolio is an independent product of Handler Labs LLC. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government agency, state Department of Education, school district, or accrediting body. Homeschool rules vary by state and district and change over time. The information in the app is a helpful starting point, not a guarantee. Always verify your current requirements with your state and district, and review any document the app builds before you sign or submit it. You are responsible for filing the right things, on time, where you live.

No accreditation or guaranteed outcomes

Homeschoolio does not grant diplomas, credits, or accreditation. The transcripts, report cards, booklists, and filings it builds are organized from what you enter. We do not guarantee that any document will satisfy a particular school, district, college, or agency. That is up to you and the entity you submit to.

Your records belong to you

You own the records you create. They stay on your device, and we only use them to run the app for you. You can export your records anytime, for free, and you can delete any record or all of your data in the app. See the Privacy Policy for the details.

Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

Some features need a paid subscription. Premium is offered as an Annual plan at $44.99 per year (currently with a 14-day free trial) and a Monthly plan at $7.99 per month. The App Store shows the current price and terms for your region before you buy, and those are the terms that control. Here is how billing works:

  • You subscribe through Apple. Apple presents the renewal terms, obtains your consent at purchase, bills your App Store account, and provides your receipt. We do not handle the payment, and we do not see your card details.
  • Your subscription renews automatically at the price and length shown when you buy it, until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time, online and without obstruction, in your iPhone or iPad Settings under your Apple account subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • If you start with the free trial and do not cancel before it ends, it converts on its own into a paid subscription at the price shown when you signed up, and Apple charges your App Store account then. Cancel any time before the last day of the trial and you are not charged. If you subscribe during a free trial, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request one through Apple.

The price, length, and trial terms are always shown before you buy.

Using the app fairly

Please use Homeschoolio for your own family's records. Do not copy, resell, or redistribute the app, try to reverse-engineer it, or use it to break the law. We may suspend access that misuses the app or harms other people.

The app is provided "as is"

We work hard to make Homeschoolio reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise the app will be error-free, always available, or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not warrant that its compliance information is complete or current for your situation.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, Homeschoolio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything beyond the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If we make a significant change to the terms, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects your subscription price, you will be asked to agree before it takes effect, the way Apple requires.

Ending your use

You can stop using Homeschoolio anytime and delete your records. We may end or limit access if these terms are broken. Export your records first if you want to keep them.

The App Store

You acknowledge that these terms are between you and Handler Labs LLC, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, where Handler Labs LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer-protection laws of your home state still apply to you. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement carries its own governing-law terms, and those apply to the app license it covers, as described above. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.
