A homeschool transcript generator for college-ready records

Updated June 2026

Homeschoolio's transcript generator turns the courses and grades you already recorded into a college-ready, one-page high-school transcript. It totals the credits, calculates weighted or unweighted GPA, and lays everything out in a format admissions offices recognize.

Everything a transcript needs

  • Courses grouped your way, by year or by subject, with grade-level grouping.
  • Weighted and unweighted GPA, per term and cumulative, with honors and AP weighting.
  • Credits assigned by course completion or by logged hours, fully adjustable.
  • A school profile block, graduation date, and your family or school name.

Built from what you logged

Because the grades come from your gradebook, you are not re-typing anything. Record grades through the year and the transcript assembles itself, ready to print or share as a PDF. Dual-enrollment and outside courses drop in as line items.

Get the GPA right

A wrong GPA is a trust problem, so the math is the point. Toggle weighted or unweighted, set a custom letter-to-GPA scale, and the generator recalculates cleanly. If you want to understand the method first, our guide on how to build a homeschool transcript walks through credits and GPA step by step, and there is a free transcript template to see the layout.

How Homeschoolio helps

The transcript generator is the high-school end of one connected record: log the day, grade the work, and the final document is already done. Homeschoolio works offline and lets you export every record to PDF and CSV any time, free.

Common questions

How do I make a homeschool transcript?

List the high-school courses, assign a credit and a grade to each, and group them by year or by subject. The generator totals the credits and calculates GPA, then lays it out on a one-page transcript colleges recognize. For the full walk-through, see our guide to building a transcript.

Does it calculate weighted and unweighted GPA?

Yes. You can toggle between weighted and unweighted, add honors or AP weighting, and set a custom letter-to-GPA scale. The generator recalculates per term and cumulatively as you add courses.

How are credits assigned?

Most high-school courses are 1.0 credit for a full year or 0.5 for a semester, and many states count roughly 120 to 160 hours as one credit. Homeschoolio can assign credit by course completion or by logged hours, and you can adjust any of it.

Can I include dual-enrollment or outside courses?

Yes. Add courses taken at a community college, co-op, or online provider as line items with the provider, the transfer grade, and any weighting notes, so the transcript reflects everything your student did.
